Seven Quick Takes

Just some quick takes today...

I really dig this image by French photographer Elliot Erwitt. It's called "Girl as Sculpture."

I kind of want these sandalsMaybe it's just the pregnancy talking. I don't know.

Have you seen the movie The Intouchables? It's the story of an unlikely friendship between a French aristocrat who also happens to be a quadriplegic, and the young man from the projects who becomes his nurse. Based on true events, it's really heartwarming, really funny. Watch it before Netflix makes it go the way of Shaun the Sheep.

Please keep the people of Egypt in your prayers. There is quite a lot of violence going on now, and much misinformation in the media about what is going on and why. I'm more than willing to give my two cents, but this isn't a political space. Translation, if you want my take, email me!

A couple of months ago, my husband was so moved by this story that he read it aloud to me. And I wept. Again, maybe it's the pregnancy. I don't know.

We are fast approaching my one year anniversary of blogging. Wow. How time flies. Thank you so much for reading! Maybe a celebration in the form of a giveaway would be appropriate. Stay tuned.

And finally, have a great weekend!
